The Horror Bulls showed their softer side on Saturday 2nd March when they helped to support the Marie Curie Great Daffodil Campaign in Hereford’s High Town.
Some of our team (plus The Little Horrors in the form of the kids!) joined a host of other street collectors to encourage members of the public to donate money in exchange for daffodils, which are worn throughout march to support the charity, who help terminally ill people during their final hours.
“In the couple of hours we were in town, we raised over £105 for Marie Curie,” said Milly Vernon (aka Nurse Venom), who was responsible for HRG’s involvement. “Marie Curie are an amazing charity, and it was the least we could do to donate some of our time to support them.”
The street collectors in Hereford raised over £1800 on Saturday alone, so it was a great success! As well as collecting for such a worthy cause, the team also chatted about all things roller derby with intrigued members of the public, including the Tatty Teddy and MP Jesse Norman.
