After taking a year off from the British Championships, Hereford Roller Derby are back and ready for a great season. During the year Hereford have built on their A Team, the Hereford Horror Bulls and focused on developing players both new and experienced alike.

Hereford Roller Derby’s first bout of the 2017 season is away against Plymouth City Roller Girls, the bout on the 11th February is going to be the first time HRD & PCRG have played against each other since 2014 during the Heartland Series.

On the 23rd April Hereford will next play against Severn Roller Torrent in Gloucester, this will be the first time that the two teams will play each other in a championship bout, though they have previously met a few times in closed-door scrimmages & open skater tournaments over the years.

The next bout for HRD will be on the 20th May, when Hereford will host a double-header & welcome Neath Port Talbot Roller Derby, Reaper Roller Derby & PCRG at The Hereford Academy on Marlbrook Road. On the day HRD will take on NPTRD & RRD will face PCRG.

The final bout of Hereford’s 2017 British Championship season is away at RRD in Swansea on the 5th August, as with SRT, HRG have played against RRD in a closed-door scrimmage, however this was in 2013 so it’ll be exciting to see how both teams have evolved & grown within these four years.
